One of the common calls we get is "My Computer is not responding" or "My computer is Frozen". Even that we think that computers are perfect because it help us in our day to day basis and we normally don't see any problems, they aren't. you know that whenever we do something wrong we like to use the excuse "well I'm human, I'm not perfect"; computers are made by humans so they are not perfect either.

When a computer is frozen it could be for many reasons, a power problem, overheating, hard drive problem, memory flush problem, etc This is what you have to do before you panic and call a technician.

1. Wait at least a minute. - Sometimes computers are performing background processes and they become unresponsive.

2. Look at the hard drive activity light. - Mos of the computers have an activity light in front of the case that it use to let you know the computer is busy reading or writing information to the Hard Drive. If you see this light blinking fast or almost steady WAIT!

3. Try the famous Ctrl + Alt + Del combination and see if the Task Manager opens, look under the Applications tab and check if there's a program "Not Responding", if there is, select that program and click on End Task

4. If nothing works or the computer is un-responsive. Shutdown the computer by Holding the Power Button. HOLD the button until the computer shutsdown.

5. If you still can't figure it out how to shutdown the computer "unplug the cord from the wall"

6. Turn the computer back on and see if the computer is working normally again. If not contact Nova Momentum Computers.
