Windows 2003 and Windows Small Business 2003 are the
same in this aspect. The way to restart Windows 2003
Server is the same as any Windows XP but with a twist.

1. You have to logon your server with administrator rights

2. Click on START in the Task Bar

3. Click SHUTDOWN

4. A Window will come up asking: What do you want the
computer to do? From here you select either Log Off, Restart,
Shutdown or Stand by. Make your selection

5. Here is the twist and difference from Windows XP, you
have to select What is the reason you are making the
selection and you have a few options, Hardware, Operating
System, Application, Security or Other. Remember if you
selected Other you have to type the reason in the Comment
box for the OK button to function. Is always a good policy to
type the reason that way your IT can check the Event viewer
and see the reason why the server was restarted or shutdown.

6. Click OK
